One would expect to find species like Iceland Gull to turn up in fishing harbours or at least somewhere along the sea coast. This bird was obviously an exception, as it was found in the middle of the city of Rotterdam, close to the old part called Delfshaven. It was even foraging on bread provided by people feeding the ducks here.

With the one in Rotterdam still present, another one turned up in Katwijk aan Zee, a sea coast town that hosted this species before. Also this bird favoured bread and other goodies that were cast out by people feeding the gulls and sheep. It was often quite dominant in the fights with other gulls for these scraps.
On one occasion I caught its call on video. You can hear it here; the first two calls are of the Iceland Gull, the following calls from other gulls joining the feeding frenzy.
